"Seerah"

This morning I got Dilly out of bed and the first thing out of her mouth was " wacha mooie." Even though I don't have aspirations of becoming another TV addicted family--it's 6 in the morning --i am tired (and weak) and need to get ready for my work day... So i plop Dill down on the couch and push play to whatever happened to be in the vhs player last-- yes, we still spin the vhs. It happened to be one of Dilly's faves-- the adventures of the unrealized princess-- Cinderella. She squealed with delight.

I S>S>Sed and took my ritual morning prayer walk. I finally returned to Dill to see if she had any needs. A "Bow"she says-- a bottle. would you like milk or Juice? "Juice." It's really juicy water and she prefers it to everything.

i step back and watch her through the doorway. she is glued to "Seerah"-- she is wrapped tight in a blanket and enjoying a bottle and has no clue i am watching her "watcha mooie". The movie has come to the point when Cinderella is being roused from her slumber by her little friends-- that she dressed in mini hippie clothes-- the birds. they're the "early birds" the hippy mice on the other hand are not so chipper to get up. I connect to the mice thought i am a little bitter at one of them because we would of named our boy Augustus( I dare you to find me another name with 3 Us in it) or Gus for short, But Janelle just couldn't get by her association with that name to the fat little mouse gus gus in the movie. Anyway Im over it---------Cinderella sits up in bed and stretches-- she is humming a lovely tune as she gazes into the morning sun coming in through the window. At this point Cinderella starts to undo one side of her braids and run her fingers through her hair. I look at Dill and she is undoing her "braids" and running her fingers through her "long blond hair." after she finishes doing her right side she moves to her left just like Seerah does. Dilly was a princess this morning (even with her blond fuzz) and shewas also a princess when we danced to the Avett brothers this evening-- and she will alway be my princess.
